At Journey, we believe belonging happens before believing. No matter where you are on your faith journey, you belong here!
We are committed to creating an environment where all people are welcome and Jesus is central. Our services consist of worship through music, weekly communion, preaching, and time to build relationships with others.
We are committed to living out the values of Jesus. Our mission is to walk with disconnected people, in transforming community, as we become like Jesus.
We welcome anyone at any point along the journey of faith
Journey is only one expression of the much larger body of Christ
Christ’s death, burial and resurrection is the unifying core of our faith
The Bible is God-breathed, true in all its teachings and is the final authority for all matters of faith and practice
Jesus causes all who come to him to move from death to life. In our new life, he calls us to follow him and imitate his way
We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of Jesus and the disconnected! We strive to keep the main thing, the main thing.
God is the creator
He is defined by compassion, grace, mercy and forgiveness.
In the beginning, God (Genesis 1:1).
The LORD, the compassionate and gracious God (Exodus 34:6).
Humanity embodies all of God's children
We bear his image and are created to reflect his nature into the world.
God created humanity in God’s [his] own image (Genesis 1:27 CEB).
Follow God's example… as dearly loved children (Ephesians 5:1)
Satan is the adversary and the defeated accuser of humanity.
He steals, kills and destroys while he can...
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7)
The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4)
Jesus is the God of all
He entered His own creation to start a new life among us.
Making peace through his blood, shed on the cross (Colossians 1:20).
Every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:11)
Sin and Salvation are redeemed through Christ
In him, we are restored to God and recreated to live now and forever.
Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God (John 17:3).
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come (2 Corinthians 5:17)
The Holy Spirit is the creator
Who gives, restores, indwells and empowers life in his children.
The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life (Job 33:4).
Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit (Galatians 5:25)
Church is the expression of our new humanity.
Brought near to God and each other to imitate Christ's love.
You who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ (Ephesians 2:13).
We will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him (Ephesians 4:15)
Eternity in the new heaven and new earth.
Where God will live with his children, is the reward that awaits those who accept the gift of a new life from God through Christ.
Creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed (Romans 8:19).
There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain for the old order of things has passed away (Revelation 21:4)
